        Shingles prevention is not exactly the easiest thing to put into practice. Theoretically, it is as easy to explain as they come. For starters, shingles is a skin problem. Basically, if you touch the puss or even the clear liquid that comes out of one of these lesions, then you will most definitely get infected with the varicella zoster virus.

        Also, try not to share living quarters, bathing areas and clothes with a person suffering from shingles. It helps both the uninfected person and the one that is already sick. That might sound a bit weird, but the truth is that the patient does not need some foreign bacteria entering his or her wounds and making them much worse. Thus, it is best to keep things separated completely for a while.

        The specialized shingles prevention technique is, of course, the shingles vaccine. Made of dead virus variations, the shingles vaccine can help three categories of people: the ones that have never had chicken pox or shingles (since the two share the same pathogen agent), the ones that are over the age of sixty and the ones that have already suffered from shingles. Usually, the shingles vaccine works in alleviating the symptoms, but does not manage to kill the virus that exists in the body of the patient.
